Our mission is to help people be their best selves…

…live their best lives, and have meaningful relationships through therapy and mental health advocacy. We believe that providing an authentic therapeutic relationship and a non-judgemental safe place allows the most optimal opportunity for people to grow. We believe that advocating for social injustice, and mental health awareness changes the stigma and creates individual, family, and community wellness.

Balanced:
We are BRAVE enough to explore what balances us.

Responsible:
We are BRAVE enough to take responsibility when we need to.

Active:
We are BRAVE enough to remain active in guiding our own lives.

Vitality:
We are BRAVE enough to apply our strength and energy in everyday moments

Enlightenment:
We are BRAVE enough to build knowledge on those things we don’t know.

Taking on the BRAVE mentality is a lifestyle.

I wanted to provide something tangible, something that can reach more people, more youth, more families, more couples, more communities. The word “BRAVE” ancompases so much. And when it comes to mental health, the decision to have a lion as our logo was just fitting. The ‘lion mentality’ encompases courage and bravery. It encompases complete awareness, taking care of self and family, fighting for what you believe, acknowledging when we are in danger (danger of harmful relationships, danger of returning to old behaviors or ways of thinking that are unhelpful, danger of the different parts of us that have been burdened and in pain). It encompases the essence of what it means to dig deeper, be our true selves; our best selves. This act is BRAVE.

The acronym is a guide to what I believe can be a process, a method in finding our true selves.

“The acronym is a guide to what I believe can be a process, a method in finding our true selves.”

“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.”

I developed this acronym while working towards substance use prevention in our youth. I wanted to provide something tangible, something that can reach more people, more youth, more families, more couples, more communities.
